Well, as you can tell from the title card and the house of Phineas and Ferb's, that's right, today's my Birthday! I am 22 years old as of right now, and I'm going to review Happy Birthday, Isabella, an episode from the fourth season. I will review Hail to the Chief, and a few other projects later. But right now, let's get to the birthday review immediately.
It's Isabella's birthday, and Phineas and the gang celebrate it in a big way, complete with a giant cake and piƱatas. To Isabella however, all she really wants is to be alone with Phineas, but she keeps missing by a second. Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz installs his Bugs Me-Inator onto an evil bug bus and drives around Danville turning all the things that bug him literally into bugs, and Stacy unwittingly sees this and even finds out Perry's agent secret. And once again, Candace tries to bust the boys, but it never works. Two words for Candace, "Give up!" P.S., I still am not fond of Doofenschmirtz, I mean, I have nothing against a platypus being a spy agent, but that Heinz is so stupid!
After watching a few episodes that feature Isabella, I have made an interesting discovery, she has feelings for Phineas. If I didn't know better, I'd say she has a crush on him! I never knew that until now. I can relate to her in this episode because all she wants to do is spend time with Phineas. Also, here comes another question, if Stacy noticed that Perry was a spy agent, how come Phineas and Ferb never seem him as a secret agent? Was it because they're too occupied with their time and summer plans to even notice? Oh, well, I guess we'll never know. All I know is Phineas and Ferb have never met Doofenschmirtz, which I wish the series made them do that.
So, my opinions are this episode are pretty okay. I kind of like the episode being a birthday episode for once, and I kind of like how her wish was to spend time with Phineas, and spoiler alert, m the end, Isabella does get her wish. It's funny, interesting, has birthday related stuff in it, and has a nice song, simply known as "Isabella's Birthday Song," or as I like to call it, "Isabella's Wish."
All in all, you have to watch the episode for yourself and try, and I dare you to TRY to prove to me that Isabella doesn't have a crush on Phineas.

Hey Arnold! - "Helga's Love Potion"
To love, or not to love, that is the question for Helga G. Pataki in our next review. I know it's super bowl night, but I'm more focused on this, okay? This episode was directed by Dan Povenmire with storyboards done by Dan and Sherm Cohen, the storyboard supervisor for SpongeBob.
Helga gets tired of her love for Arnold making her feel mad and mixed up all the time. After considering it, she goes in to a "gypsies" store, asking her for a potion that will make her fall out of love. Out of her sight, the gypsy gives her a "potion" that would erase Helga's feelings After drinking that "potion." Upon waking, Helga feels unusually bland. Know how I know? Because she acts more like a civilized person more than a bully with a passion for love. She moves quietly about the day, not responding to any aggression. This doesn't feel like her at all if you ask me. Can she get out of this blandness? Well, just watch and yourself.
This is a pretty weird episode, but in a good way. It has a lot of good laughs, for example, Brainy beating the heck out of himself since Helga was under the "spell." And I say all of this with air-quotes because the twist is that the potion is actually grape juice, boy did Helga get ripped off by a con person? Probably the weirdest part of the episode is that by the time Helga drinks the "potion," she goes through a extremely upside-down dream sequence! Which has her breaking the locket, her sinking into ice cream, and landing flat onto her bed, and it's not mentioned again! It's definitely a Big-Lipped Alligator Moment! Also, this is one of the few episodes where Helga uses the word "crap." I wonder why they got away with that in a cartoon like this. If I didn't know better, Francesca Marie Smith probably ad-libbed that line unscripted without Nickelodeon even noticing, either that, or she just says that by herself whenever she gets frustrated in real life, but that's just me.
So, the moral of the story is never trust a gypsy who want your money, second, don't drink any sort of love potion made out of grape juice, otherwise, you'll end up having weird dream sequences. Also, you can't escape your obsession no matter what you do. You are who you are and you can't change that. And Helga had to learn that out the hard way.
Overall, this episode is pretty weird, but funny, and good, funny and good. Yep, those are the three words I can describe this episode, folks.

Phineas and Ferb - "Candace Gets Busted"
Yep, it's time for me to review another "Phineas and Ferb" episode. This time, I'm reviewing the season two episode, "Candace Gets Busted."
When Linda and Lawrence take a trip, they entrust Candace to be in charge of the house. Candace calls some of her friends over for a small get-together, but when throngs of uninvited guests start to participate and it isn't long before it swells into a wild party. All I know is this isn't Phineas and Ferb's doing. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz is intending to get rid of the condominiums blocking his view from the local drive-in. Ugh, another typical bland scheme. Why am I not surprised?
What I like about this episode is that this is one of the few, if not the only time that Phineas and Ferb don't bother do anything crazy to make Candace want to try to bust on them, that, and Ferb had a lot more lines in this episode than usual. I understand now why he has little do no dialogue in this episode, he's British, like their father, Lawrence. I especially like the rap song in this one, where Candace raps about the event being a get together and not a party. That rap is so catchy with good rhythm, they even nail the dance moves, and the music. In the end, Candace deserved to be busted for this. I'm still not fond of Dr. Doofenshmirtz, though.
So, bottom line, this was an episode that really got the "Jellyfish Jam" feel to it;/ It also kind of reminds me of the Jimmy Neutron episode called "Party at Neutrons" and The Fairly OddParents episode, "Fairy Friends and Neighbors," and not to mention the Aaron Carter music video, "Aaron's Party (Come Get It)" where the plot is that these characters didn't get the permission to throw a party. If I didn't know better, I'd think these three episodes were based off of that certain song.
Did I mention Dee Bradley Baker who performed Perry also voiced a few of the party guests? I guess Dee did more than just vocal effects.

CatDog - "Winslow's Home Videos."
Now I'm going to review something that was on a certain Nickelodeon tape before a popular 1998 movie came along. I'm of course talking about the CatDog short episode, "Winslow's Home Videos."
What's the story? There isn't one. It's pretty much just Winslow showing the viewers about all the crazy stuff that Cat and Dog have done together like breakfast for example, putting in too much hot sauce onto a taco, causing Cat to breath fire, their quiet bike ride in the park being ruined by those greasers, and of course, Dog's game of Sailor Dog getting a bit out of hand. Although, it wasn't previously recorded. It was actually recording already in Cat and Dog's own bathroom. It's like as if there was a title card that said, meanwhile or something. Anyways, a giant wave hits the house and Winslow ends up stuck upside down and the episode ends.
Much like the Krusty Krab Training Video, this episode didn't need a plot to be funny, it needed to be funny to be funny. Thanks to Dean Stefan and Dan Povenmire, this episode pulls out all the stops, like putting on too much hot sauce on a taco, Cat burning Dog to a crisp accidentally, the TV jumping up and down during the greasers' attack, and of course, Dog's pretend squid attack that is accidentally making Cat a bit wet. Dog's not being mean he just doesn't know any better. It doesn't help either that Dog decides to bring up a tidal wave and ride it all across the house! HOW DOES HE DO THAT?! And for that matter, how can they surf inside?!
Even on the Rugrats Movie DVD and VHS without the title card, this episode in my opinion was pretty funny, and it was the last of the three three-minute shorts that aired during the second season, Much like "Dog the Mighty" however, I thought this was from the first season.
All in all, Winslow was a great host for his home videos, and Carlos Alazraqui has a lot of charm portraying the role making sound an awful lot like Rocko from Rocko's Modern Life. As a matter of fact, a lot of people who worked on Rocko's Modern Life worked on this show.
In conclusion, this episode is a short but funny comedy fest.

Phineas and Ferb - "Happy New Year"
Even though it's already the second week of January 2018, I'd figured I should still review the New Year's Eve episode of the ever popular Disney cartoon, Phineas and Ferb. So, without acquaintances be forgotten, let's begin.
It's New Year's Eve, and everyone's getting ready for the Big Bash. Phineas and Ferb put up their annual New Year's Eve Ball into Outer Space outside Isabella's backyard, and Candace is going to a New Year's Party with Jeremy and Stacy. However, there's a problem. Candace can't stop thinking about Phineas and Ferb doing those sneaky things which Candace fails to show her parents, when she goes to the bathroom to pull herself together, she sees someone eating a sandwich despite announcing their New Year's Resolution, and Candace decides maybe it's not too late to bust Phineas and Ferb. So, she leaves the party to investigate. Will she finally bust the duo? Fat chance!
Over on the Perry and Doofenshmirtz side of things, Doofenshmirtz decides to brain wash everybody at midnight into making him to his orders, comes as no biggie that his plan does indeed backfire. And he does have a heart, an evil one that is, and he does wish Perry a Happy New Year near the ending. You know, if these Perry and Doofenshmirtz plots were never on the show, I would've been fine with that, but that's just me. I kind of like Doofenshmirtz's robot though.
This episode is visually interesting, it's not laugh out loud funny, but it's got great visuals. It kind of reminds me of the Sesame Street New Year's Eve Special if you ask me. Except, in that special we only see the kids side of the party, but here, we see both sides, both adult and kid alike. I kind of like the looks of that giant ball, it looks an awful lot like that giant Disco ball from the Powerpuff Girls episode, "Boogie Frights." You did see my review of that one, didn't you? I especially love the ending song, simply knwn as "Happy New Year" as sung by Olivia Olson, yes, the actress who voiced Bliss in The Power of Four, but I'll review that one of that rehash some other time. And Ferb's line in this was and I quote "Auld Lang Syne" literally means "old long ago," but I'd rather think of New Year's as an unspoiled universe.: I also like the fireworks at the end and even the romance that Jeremy and Candace have, even Jeremy likes Candace the way she is, being her girl who tries to tell on her brothers self. The fireworks are something that was really missing from the Sesame Street New Year's special. So, If I had to choose between those two specials, I'd pick this one. Did I forget to mention that John Viener, who worked on Family Guy, voiced Norm the Robot?
So, in the words of Cookie Monster, "THE END! Me love credits!"

SpongeBob - "Graveyard Shift"
This episode is filled with imagination, it takes you to another dimension, a dimension of sound, a dimension of fear, a dimension of mind, a dimension of 24 hours a day in a restaurant, where the Hash Slinging Slasher exists, and Nosferatu turns off the lights, you're crossing over into "Graveyard Shift."
Around closing time, when Tom comes to the doors to the Krusty Krab, when Squidward tries to inform Tom that he has to go home soon, Mr,. Krabs overhears all this and decides to make the hours to the Krusty Krab unlimited, in other words, 24 hours a day, With that Mr. Krabs leaves the scene leaving SpongeBob and Squidward in charge of the restaurant. Over time, Squidward spooks SpongeBob by telling him the story of The Hash Slinging Slasher, which results into SpongeBob into screaming in a rhythmic fashion, until Squidward snaps him out of it saying it was only a joke and a story, which results in SpongeBob laughing in the same rhythm. How will this end? Stay tuned.
This episode is scary........with humor! It's got a lot of good jokes about SpongeBob doing stuff, at night that is. Even rushing outside to take out the garbage and beathing heavily when he gets back inside. It's also very funny when SpongeBob takes off one of his arms and they grow back much to the surprise of Squidward, and even Patrick's little cameo was good. But the best highlight was has to be the reveal of the hash slinging slasher! Especially Squidward mispronouncing the name like SpongeBob did earlier, and he and SpongeBob's eyebrows and eyelashes rising up and shaking in fear. That's pretty funny, folks.
So, the bottom line, this episode is funny, with terror, and it's got a good story. Working late at night and telling scary stories along the way.
I must say, there should've been a Twilight Zone reference where Mr. Lawrence, who wrote this episode, would voice a parody of Rod Serling, explaining about the story of the Hash Slinging Slasher. Maybe it was a deleted concept or something from the storyboard artists.
Anyways, I like Dee Bradley Baker's character for the Hash Slinging Slasher who turns out to be a nice guy.
This episode to great to watch, even at night.

Hey Arnold! - "Olga Gets Engaged"
"Olga Gets Engaged" was the second episode to feature Helga's older and midriff-baring sister. And as much as I like her character, I'm not sure what to feel about this episode. Anyways, it was written by the voice of Arnold's Mom herself, Antoinette Stella.
At school, Helga's friends Rhonda and Phoebe are excited about another one of Olga's visits, and Helga sarcastically just looks forward to it. She has mixed feelings on her bib sister. Sometimes, she might like her, but most of the time, she does not.. Helga always gets annoyed whenever Olga visits from college.
Olga comes to the Pataki residence and explains the big news, she decides to drop out of college because she met a man named Doug/ Bob and Miriam are shocked by this bit of news, but Helga is quite thrilled, thinking this might be Olga's fall from grace and wonders when they'll meet Doug.
At dinner, the Patakis meet Doug, who swoons over Olga, and Helga wonders how long have they've known each other. Bob and Miriam are against the idea that they're rushing into marriage.
While Bob says to Doug that he doesn't adjust, but Helga sympathies with Olga saying that it's not fair for Olga between Doug and them.
This reduces Olga to tears because, well, she suffers from perfectionism, and she's just so miserable, and runs into her room crying. I think it's time for me to talk about her crying, sometimes, whenever she cries, some black make-up falls down her eyes, she's not even wearing mascara, how is it even running?! Oh, well, no matter. Doug runs after Olga, and Helga says "If I played by cards straight, I could get rid of Olga for good." with a devilish smile on her face.
Up in Olga's room, Helga demands her to snap out of it, but Olga's so upset that she can't. Helga auggests that she and Doug run away and get married, Olga rejects to this considering she couldn't elope, and mom and dad would be furious. Helga knows that would be awful, but it's worse than thinking about life without Doug. Ultimately, Olga does give in, and Helga tells her to start packing and Helga will sneak the ladder out the window, and that she and Doug will be married in no time. Olga doesn't know how to thank her and thinks they're really bonding as wo sisters. As Helga closes the door, she says to herself, "Oh boy!"
As Helga gets out the later, she witnesses Doug telling ridiculous lies to Bob and Miriam, which ultimately results into them changing their minds. Helga was confused at first, saying, "What is going on, he hated him a while ago."
Helga comes back into Olga's room, saying to cancel running away, because there's been a change of plans, Doug won him over. Olga rejoices and says "Oh, I knew it, I'd just knew they'd love him." as she hugs herself with joy.
The next day, Helga explains her problems to Arnold about Olga dating a complete liar. Arnold suggests that if your sister or brothers are in trouble, you should help them, but Helga just rejects that thought, and, as usual, Arnold just tells her, forget he said what he had to say.
At dinner, as Doug and Olga are re-enacting a portion of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Helga fantasizes about what would happen if they actually got married, living in a run down apartment with Doug lying about doing great things while Olga is miserable, Helga laughs at her little fantasy.
On the day of the wedding, Olga can't tell how much she's lucky to have a sister like Helga. and from that point on, Helga decides she just can't go through with her plan.
Helga catches Doug red-handed calling his own girlfriend, and Helga does what Arnold told her to do earlier, help out a sibling in need. She demands that Doug should leave or she'll expose him for the phony liar that he is, even going so far as to threatening to push the redial button to tell her girlfriend about his lies and cheating. Upon hearing this, Doug leaves and exits the door!
With Doug gone and out of the way, to make sure Olga knows about his disappearance, Helga writes a note that says it was from Doug. Olga is touched by everything that the note says, she cries, once again, with mascara falling down her face without having any one whatsoever. And Helga just tells her "You crybaby!" And the episode just ends.
I don't get it.
Honestly, I don't think the episode was good or terrible, just weak. But, if YOU are a fan of Helga or Hey Arnold! Go ahead and watch the episode if you choose to, I have nothing against that, okay?
